Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down an offer from Turkish giants Galatasaray, despite the club’s willingness to meet his €75 million release clause and offer a lucrative wage package.

The report, which first surfaced in Gazzetta dello Sport and has since been echoed by multiple European outlets, suggests that Osimhen is staying true to his long-held ambition of playing in the English Premier League.

There is no agreement between his desires and reality,” Gazzetta noted, alluding to the fact that while interest exists, the path to the Premier League is still not clear-cut.

Interestingly, the 26-year-old had a stellar loan spell at Galatasaray last season, scoring an impressive 37 goals across all competitions. But even that remarkable form has not convinced Napoli to keep him. The Serie A side has shown no interest in reintegrating him into their squad ahead of the new campaign and is instead holding out for concrete offers from clubs outside Italy.

One of the clubs closely monitoring his situation is Manchester United. According to The People’s Person, United still see Osimhen as a top transfer target. However, his €12 million annual wage demand remains a sticking point for the Premier League side, especially as they navigate financial constraints this summer.

Despite United missing out on European competitions for the upcoming season, Corriere del Mezzogiorno reports that the club still holds significant appeal for Osimhen, further fueling speculation of a potential move to Old Trafford.

In the midst of all this, big money has come knocking from the Middle East. Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are said to have tabled a jaw-dropping offer worth €40 million per year. Yet, according to Il Napolista, Osimhen has not accepted the deal — sources say his focus remains firmly on landing a move to England.

As the €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract remains active until 15 July, all eyes are now on whether any Premier League club, especially Manchester United, will make a decisive move before the clock runs out.

For now, Osimhen’s next chapter remains unwritten. But one thing is clear: his heart is set on the Premier League.
